An Impossible Life
I remember a time when I was told that it was impossible for me to have a career in the field of Information Technology (IT) because I did not fit the profile.
My international career as an IT professional included the positions of network administrator, database programmer, Microsoft certified programmer and trainer in North America; IT Manager in both Canada and Scotland; Technical Consultant and Specialist for Norwich Union (now Aviva) in England, one of the largest employers in the United Kingdom.
I was told it was impossible and did not let that stop me.
How did I do it? I kept my dream alive and looked for opportunities to make it happen.
I remember a time when doctors told me that it would be impossible for me to heal my chronic headaches and failing eyesight. They said I would have to live with it.
During my 13 years of living with chronic pain, I continued searching for and found a solution in energy medicine. I applied it regularly and in 90 days the headaches were gone. Within another 90 days, the eyeglasses were no longer required. Sitting beside an eye surgeon on an airplane, after hearing my story his response was, “I don’t understand how that is possible.”, to which I replied, “Well, seeing is believing.” A reality beyond your current life experience doesn’t make it impossible.
How did I do it? I stayed with my inner belief that there was a way and I would find it.
I also remember a time when I was told that it was impossible to make a living in the field of energy medicine, let alone travel around the world while I do it.
I am now in my 10th year in practice. I have studied with the founders of groundbreaking techniques in four countries, launched a private practice, created a collection of self-healing guided imagery meditations, trained 20 professionals in the field of energy healing, been featured in a documentary on health and wellness, and evolved the practice into an elite program of self-healing that is accessible to people worldwide. The results are as remarkable as the clients I work with every day. These folks are really quite impressive! I do all this over the telephone and Internet, having lived and worked from 5 different countries so far, with my blog, program and services currently reaching 18 countries…..and counting.
How did I do it? I had a vision and stuck with it and acted on it every day.
Some things don’t change much.
Now, at age 40, I feel like I am just getting warmed up!
And for my next trick……… Stay tuned!
